Report which splits out Part 121 time in place of Part 135.
- Desktop: Updated FAA 8710 custom report templates. There
are now two templates, FAA 8710 Type Summary and FAA 8710 Category Summary.
Note: The new templates are located in the Reports folder and must be
imported into your database. See Working With Custom Reports in the help file.
- APPi: Added support for new Crew field and Crew Tag list
(see above).
- APPi: Added button to Notes screen for copying the remarks text from
the previously-entered flight.
- APPi: Added Setup button on main screen -- same as selecting
[Options|Setup...] from the APPi menu.

When checked, calculated flight Durations are automatically inserted into the XC field as
well. Note: This was the default behavior in earlier APPi versions.
- Documentation: Procedures & Reference Manual (ap24_prm.pdf) updated.
Issues Resolved:
- Desktop: Monthly Flight and Duty Report is listing "Other
Commercial" time shows as Part 91 and vice versa in both the chart and summary
columns.
- Desktop: Pilot Currency Summary report is showing incorrect
Category/Class expiration dates in the Takeoff and Landings section.
- Desktop: Monthly Flight and Duty Report is not properly totaling
This Quarter, Last Quarter and Year to Date when the Minutes.Tenths time display mode is
selected.

contain", etc.) are incorrectly excluding records where the filtered field is empty.
|
| v2.31 |
New Stuff:
- Desktop: Added "Clipboard", with Copy and Paste functions, to
the Logbook edit window. Clipboard data is retained between sessions.
- Desktop: Added Airport Validation Utility. This utility scans
existing flight records and converts airport identifiers to ICAO format. A pop-up
dialog, presented when an ID cannot be automatically converted, allows user to lookup or
enter a replacement ID. A conversion table is maintained so future occurrences of the ID
can be converted automatically.
- Desktop: New "web" links added to the Help menu, including a
link to the new online Registration form, and this Revision History page.
Issues Resolved:
- Desktop: Tally sheet Filter on Notes field does not
function properly.
- Desktop: "Solo_XC" field is not being
calculated. One symptom is that the XC Solo column of the FAA 8710 report is always blank.

Checkride results in a "nonsense" due date.
- Desktop: Web Update facility sometimes locks up
while checking for available program updates.
- Desktop: Program allows AutoCalc window to be
opened while a flight log was in Edit mode. This can result in a "deadly
embrace" error situation if the Aircraft ID field is still blank.
|
| v2.22 |
Issues Resolved:
- Desktop: Changing Pilot ID number caused program error, leaving data
records partially modified.
|
| v2.21 |
Modifications:
- Desktop: Incorporated new APPi HotSync Conduit which does not utilize
ODBC. The new Conduit can access and modify the desktop files directly. This
change was made to resolve ODBC problems on some Windows 95/98 systems.
- Desktop: The "Install Palm Application" function no
longer requires you to initialize the Personal Aircraft and Airports lists before
completing the installation. The Personal Timezone list must still be initialized.
- Desktop: New Personal Timezone lists (created when a new pilot is
added) are initialize with just the "GMT Standard" time zone. In previous
versions, the new list was initialized with all time zones.
- APPi: The XC (cross country) field is now preset with the
calculated duration. The preset is assigned only if the XC field is blank, so you
can manually override the value.
Issues Resolved:
- APPi: New aircraft ID's added on the Palm were not forced to
upper case.
|
| v2.12 |
Modifications:
- Desktop: Added Incremental Update capability to the Update utility,
which will allow it to select smaller "patch" downloads based on the
currently-installed version.
- Desktop: Added new ODBC Configuration dialog -- a tool for
testing and diagnosing problems with the ODBC connection used for Palm HotSyncs with APPi.
- Desktop: Additions and changes made to the Help file.
|
| v2.11 |
First "production"
release of version 2
Issues Resolved:
- APPi: [Edit] button on main window was active when no flight records
were entered.
- Desktop: Manual editing of an Import Staging Area record did not
properly update the internal "position" (e.g. PIC, SIC, Primary Dual, etc.)
field. When modified flights were transferred to the Flight Log, incorrect posting
to the breakdown table resulted..
|
| v2.05 |
New Stuff
- Desktop: Added Auto-Build Personal Lists function for initializing
Personal Lists based on existing Flight Log entries.
Modifications:
- Desktop: Added Proxy Server support to the Update utility (re:
[File|Update AeroLog Pro...] in the main menu).
- Desktop: Added up-front checking of ODBC when Palm Support is
installed.
- APPi: Elapsed Time fields (e.g. Dur, XC, Act,
etc.) now allow input without decimal point (.) or colon (:).
Issues Resolved:
- Desktop: Flight Log Browse tab does not retain column
width changes.
- Desktop: Backup function is saving only the index (ADI)
and memo (ADM) portions of the database. Actual data (ADT) files are not being
included in the backup. Note: The Backup function in the
AeroLog Data Manager works properly.
- Desktop: If the Palm Support modules are not installed (a valid installation option) an ODBC error occurs upon program startup.
- Desktop: The Minutes-to-Tenths rounding method (see
Program Options window) is not being set properly during program startup, resulting in the
default (Decimal B) method being selected, regardless of the user's selection.
- Desktop: Filters on Acft Tags, Flight Tags,
or Route which use the "contains any of..." or "contains none
of..." comparison operators do not function properly.
- APPi: Fatal Exception occurs if Dep and Arr fields are
left blank.
|
| v2.03 |
New Feature:
- Desktop: Added new Import AutoCalc Script which is executed for each
record transferred from the Import Staging Area to the Flight Log.
- APPi: Added auto calculation of flight Duration.

- APPi: Added a new Options form which is opened from the main APPi
screen via the pull-down menus. Options include a default for the Pos (Seat) field.
- APPi: Moved the Route field up under the Date and Flight
No fields. This better matches the arrangement of most airline logbooks (Little Red
Books).
- Desktop: Added improved handling of ODBC errors during HotSync.
Note that these errors are almost always associated with variations in the ODBC drivers
installed with Windows. Information has been added to the Help file to assist in
diagnosing and correcting these errors.
- Desktop: List selector dialog now remembers arrangement and width
displayed columns.
Issues Resolved:
- APPi: "00:00" appeared in the Dep and Arr fields before user
had the chance to make an entry.
- Desktop: Palm Import deletes the records from the PDA regardless of
response to the "Clear Palm logbook after import" option. (This is
no longer an option. PDA flights are always cleared after they are imported).
- Desktop: ODBC errors during Palm Hotsync (see Modifications above).
- Desktop: Filtering on Notes field does not work. This error
has been partially resolved in 2.03. The filter for the flight Browse tab now works.
The issue is still unresolved for the Tally tab filter.
- Desktop: Route selector in Flight Wizard was functioning improperly.
- AeroCalc: @RoundMinutes() function was returning incorrect
results.
|

flight record. Updated ALW import to transfer values from ALW into this field.
- Filter Dialog -- renamed 'is in list..." operator to "contains any of the
following..."
- Calculated flight distance is now displayed in the logbook edit window.
- Remarks (Notes) field is now displayed in the logbook browse window.
- The total flight record count is now displayed in the logbook browse window.
Issues Resolved:
- The Flight Log Configuration dialog now displays the internal field name and type, as
well as the user-defined name for custom fields.
- Flight durations calculated from Departure/Arrival times were not being properly rounded
to the nearest "tenth" when the "Hours.Tenths" time display mode was
selected. This resulted in accumulated "errors" when flights were tallied.
- Flight Wizard Aircraft field was not properly detecting and saving new tail numbers.
- First preview of Flight Duty Report displayed in the wrong orientation (portrait instead
of landscape).
- Right edge of Flight Duty Report was cut off on some inkjet printers.

sorting flights, resulting in the incorrect sequencing of flights flown on the same day.
- Pilot Currency Summary was not including night landings toward day landing currency.
- Misc corrections to pop-up hints.
|
| v1.35 |
Issues Resolved:
- From and To fields not responding to <Crtl_+> keyboard shortcut.

Issues Resolved:
- Import wizard not importing departure and arrival times.
|
| v1.32 |
Issues Resolved:
- The "..." button adjacent to the VIA field does not work.
- The Standard Flights window doesn't remember its screen position.
- When you click on "New Flight" (wizard) for the first time after starting up
AeroLog, the date defaults to the date of the first logged entry instead of the last
logged entry. After the first new flight entry it works properly.
|
| v1.31 |
Initial Production Release |
| v1.21 |
New Stuff:
- Added "Memorize Flight" button to Flight Log. This function allows you to
create a new Standard Flight list entry using information taken from the

- Configuring a custom report component filter on the "Tags" field caused an
"Invalid variant conversion" error.
- Logbook would not allow flights with no route (From, To and Via blank) to be entered.
Import Wizard would also skip such flights when importing from ALW.
|
| v1.02 |
New Stuff:
- First draft of the Report Designer Help file is included in this release. To view,
select Help from the Report Designer window.
- Initial draft (incomplete) of the AeroLog Pro Report Designer Tutorial is available. You
will notice the new Completed Tutorials folder in the Custom Report Explorer. This folder
contains report templates referred to in the document. Much more needs to be added to
this document.
Modifications:
- Added 4 new custom "text" fields.
- Import Wizard is now more "forgiving" of non-standard breakdown table field
headings in ALW.
- Import Wizard will now automatically enable and label custom fields which you map over
from ALW. Earlier version required you to manually open the Configuration dialog and
enable these fields.
- Import Wizard now allows you to set a default Type-Of-Time value which is assigned to
all imported records when none of the tag specifications are located.
- Added a "New Flight Record" button to the top of the Logbook window as a more
"obvious" way to directly add a flight record without using the New Flight
Wizard.
- Configuration dialog now allows all fields except Departure Date, Route, Aircraft and Duration to be disabled (hidden). Allows all you minimalists out there to clear
out the "clutter".

informs you that the import may take some time. (Unfortunately it is still too slow --
will work on this).
Issues Resolved:
- Corrected inconsistent labeling of Aircraft ID field (called "Tail Number" in
some places").
- The Flight No field was not being assigned in flight records generated by the New
Flight Wizard.
- Import Wizard was not importing the "User Defined Text" field from ALW. This
is now placed in the new Custom Text 1 field.
- New Flight Wizard was not properly enabling the Next button on the Flight Information
page.
|
| v1.011 |
Issues Resolved:
- When more than one digit is entered to the right of the decimal point, elapsed time
values were incorrectly interpreted. Example: 1.68 was being interpreted as 1 hour and 68
tenths -- producing 7.8 hours.
- Backup function was creating backup files with a "CLM" extension, instead of
an "APB" extension.
- Install facility now creates program icons in the program folder (in the Start menu) as
well as on the desktop.
- Flight Duty Report (graph) was adjusting for time zone in the wrong direction -- time
zone offset was being added instead of subtracted.
- Flight Duty Report was incorrectly totaling numeric flight times listed on the right
side of the graph.
