| A | This is done using the Backup and Restore functions. You will need to install AeroLog Pro on the destination machine first. Once this is done, follow the procedure given below. IMPORTANT! AeroLog Pro does not support merging or synchronizing of data between two machines. The Restore function deletes data on the destination machine and replaces it with the data contained in the backup. To avoid data loss, do not make concurrent entries on two machines at the same time. - Start AeroLog Pro on the source machine and run the Backup function, saving the resulting APB file to a temporary folder on the hard drive.
- Transfer the APB file to a temporary folder on the hard drive of the destination machine using a network connection, or high-capacity drive (CD, Zip, etc). *
- IMPORTANT > Verify that the transferred APB file is not "Read Only" by right-clicking on it and selecting Properties. If Read-Only is checked, un-check it. (Files transferred using a CD-R disk may be marked as Read Only when they are burned to the CD).
- IMPORTANT > Shut down AeroLog Pro on the destination machine.
- Start the AeroLog Data Manager on the destination machine by selecting Start>Programs>AeroLog Pro>AeroLog Data Manager from the Windows™ desktop.
- Click Restore From Backup.
- Click OK to proceed past the warning dialog. In the Open dialog, locate and select the backup (APB file) created above. Data files will be restored from the backup.
- The program will ask you if you want to run the Check Files function on the restored files. Click Yes.
- When the check is completed, clos
e AeroLog Data Manager, then start AeroLog Pro. \r\n(*) If you do not have a network connection or a high capacity drive, you can select a floppy disk drive when performing the backup. You will need at least 2 formatted floppy disks to hold the backup. |
