| | Q | I got my first Vista operating system on a new laptop. When trying to import my system or logbook *.awb, I get an error message about "NTVDM.EXE" will not function. Any clues how to get up and running on my laptop? |
| | A | AeroLog for Windows uses a standalone 16-bit version of PKZip to create and restore from backup files (AWB files). The Vista module that is failing (NTVDM) is supposed to support running 16-bit applications. Apparently NTVDM is choking on the old PKZip.
Since ALW is a legacy product, I am not supporting it on Vista. (Frankly, I'm surprised ALW even runs on Vista). So, if you want to use AeroLog on Vista, you may want to consider upgrading to AeroLog Pro. |
