 | Missing dll file window |
| | Q | Whenever I start Areolog Pro I get a window pop up that says... "This application has failed to start because CEUTIL.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." When I click the OK box, Aerolog runs and works normally. I am running windows XP.
Any ideas how I lost this file and how I can put it back?

| | A | As you have already determined, this is an innocuous error.
CEUtil.dll is not part of AeroLog Pro per se. It is part of Microsoft's ActiveSync utility, used in conjunction with Pocket PC and Windows Mobil devices. If you are getting this error when starting AeroLog, it most likely means that at some time, you installed the PocketPC companion application for AeroLog Pro, and either ActiveSync was uninstalled, or the DLL was deleted from your Windows\System32 folder.
If you are using the Pocket PC companion application, you should try reinstalling the desktop utilities which came with your device. If you are no longer using the AeroLog Pro PocketPC application, upgrading to AeroLog Pro version 2.94 will clear up the problem, since 2.94 no longer has PDA support.
The update to version 2.04 is free. You can download the install file from the Polaris Microsystems web site. |
